Saturday night: Dinner Cruise - "Boat Party"

The Boston Beantown Classic Tournament Seeding Party* will take place on a catered harbor cruise with a live dj, entertainment, cash bar and meal. Although there is no dress code, you are encouraged to bring a jacket. Please arrive early as the boat will leave promptly at the scheduled departure time. Come join us -- rain or shine -- for a great time! There are enclosed levels in the event of rain.

 

Team Captains will be given a ticket for each confirmed player on their team. Additional tickets for guests may be purchased using the Paypal button on the right of this page.

 

* Players under 21 years of age will not be allowed to board the boat. The Boat uses its own security to check ID at boarding, so don't forget yours!

Getting to the Boat: (Take a Cab, or the MBTA!)

Why risk getting lost, paying for parking, and needing a designated driver? We STRONGLY recommend taking a cab to Rowes Wharf/Boston Harbor Hotel. Upon exiting at the hotel, walk under the large archway and follow the harbor walk to the right. The Freedom will be docked just ahead on your left.

 

 

Driving

If you do drive, directions from various points in the city are noted below:

 

FROM CAMBRIDGE RINDGE AND LATIN SCHOOL: (the playing facility)

 

Drive east on Cambridge St for 1.8 miles to end of road. At end, turn right onto Monsignor Obrien Hwy/MA-28S. Follow signs to I-93 South (toward Quincy/Logan Airport). Take Route I-93 South to Exit 23 (Purchase St.) After exiting the tunnel, take the first left onto Atlantic Avenue. Continue straight on Atlantic Avenue. Rowes Wharf is one and one half blocks on the right behind the arch of the Boston Harbor Hotel.

 

FROM HOTEL MARLOWE (Host Hotel), 25 Edwin H. Land Blvd, Cambridge MA

 

From the hotel, you must exit southwest on Edwin H Land Blvd/Commercial Ave. You will need to make the first allowed U-turn. After the U-turn, drive northeast on Edwin H Land Blvd/Commercial Avenue. Turn right onto Monsignor Obrien Hwy/MA-28S. Follow signs to I-93 South (toward Quincy/Logan Airport). FROM POINTS SOUTH

Take Route 93 North to Exit 20 (South Station). Follow signs to South Station/Downtown. Turn right at the end of the ramp onto Kneeland Street and turn at the second left onto Atlantic Avenue. Continue straight on Atlantic Avenue. We are located directly behind the Boston Harbor Hotel.

 

FROM POINTS WEST

Follow the Massachusetts Turnpike/Route I-90E to exit 24A. This will put you onto Atlantic Avenue. Continue straight on Atlantic Ave. We are located directly behind the Boston Harbor Hotel.

 

Parking Options

There are numerous parking garages near Rowes Wharf. Look for locations with a flat rate, otherwise you will be paying a daily rate of up to $35.

 

The closest and likely least expensive is One International Place (enter at 55 Purchase St.), charging $9 flat rate on weekends. It is a building comprised of 2 cyllindrial towers. The parking garage entrance is on the right.
