Indoor season starting Sep 15!
Registration is open on the website for the 2013-2014 season. The first day of play will be Sunday, September 15th. Location and sessions are unchanged: see the "Play" tab. The annual membership fee has been raised to $30 to help accommodate rising league maintenance costs, the purchase of some new equipment, and anticipated events for the year. The session fee will remain at $5/session. Saturday sessions moved to 12-3pm, and we plan to have a clinic the first Saturday of every month, where the first one (Oct 5th) is a 6-2 clinic, to assist players who want to play at the C session, which requires 6-2 knowlegde.
The court manager system worked well last year, so we are calling on our members for help in running sessions. Please fill out this survey for your availability and for which sessions you'd prefer to run, then this survey for specific dates!
Our indoor welcome party is scheduled for Saturday, September 14th, at the Longfellow Gym! We will have free food, open courts for play, and a presentation of awards for last year's season. Please RSVP on facebook.
Boston Beantown Classic was a great success! Congratulations to our local teams who took top spots in every division (full results are at www.cbvolleyball.net/bbc). If you missed BBC, you can still join our Fall Recreational Tournament. Our recreational fall tournament will be held Saturday, October 26th, 9AM - 5PM. It will be Halloween-themed, with an award for best costumes on top of awards for the winning teams. The maximum number of teams is 8, and we will use a two-bracket system, with teams seeded into top and bottom brackets. 1 advanced or 2 intermediate allowed per team. E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to register early and save! $150 per team of 6-7 players with $25 per additional player if registered by September 20th, and $180 per team of 6-7 with $25 per additional player if registered by September 26th. Don't have a team? Join the free agent list.

We will be announcing cancellations or anything else that will impact play for outdoor volleyball here. We will do our best to post cancellations by 5pm, but assume that volleyball is canceled if there is at least a 60% chance of precipitation forecast.
